Try Scuba Information
To truly enjoy your first experience underwater, you will need someone you can trust. SSI is one of the largest, most trusted and respected internationally recognized training agencies in the world today. An SSI Dive Professional will teach you everything you need to know and under their guidance, you will learn the skills you need to enjoy this first experience underwater.
Before you start your new experience, you can conveniently study the academics right on your computer, iPad or Smartphone with SSI’s Digital training.

Pool Prep:
- Duration - 15 minutes
- Review
Pool Session 1: Shallow Water
- Duration - 1 hour
- Equipment assembly
- Donning and using equipment
- Breathing off the regulator
- Removing and replacing the regulator
- Retrieving the regulator
- Clearing the mask
- Moving in the water
- Buoyancy control
Pool Session 2: Deep Water
- Practice buoyancy control
- Have fun!
Course Conclusion:

- Must be a minimum of 13 years old
- Completed and signed waiver
- Medical Statement - SSI
Equipment Requirements:
The Try Scuba program includes all required scuba equipment. You will be using the following:
- Mask
- Snorkel
- Fins
- Wetsuit
- BCD
- Regulators
- Gauge/Dive Computer
- Scuba Cylinder
Paperwork:
- Try Scuba Training Record
- Waiver Release
- Medical Survey*
*If there are any YES answers on the medical survey, the participant is required to have a licensed medical practitioner sign the provided medical statement after reviewing the guidelines for recreational scuba, prior to any in water activity.
